
Markus Bauer
Markus Bauer is a Principal at Roland Berger’s Munich Office and a member of the global Operations team.
He has more than ten years of consulting experience with a strong background in Production and Supply Chain Management. Before joining Roland Berger, he spent seven years advising clients on Supply Chain Management topics such as Strategy and Operating Model design, Planning and S&OP, Risk Management, Network Design, Warehouse Optimization and Automation Technologies, and Transport Optimization. His expertise combines a deep understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes with hands-on experience in improving Manufacturing and Shopfloor performance.
Working since 2022 at Roland Berger, he focuses on Operations Improvement and Turnaround projects, Claim Management, and large-scale PMO and Transformation programs. In the area of Production, his work centers on increasing Production Efficiency, enhancing Production Quality Systems, optimizing Manufacturing Footprints, and driving Digital Transformation in Industrial Operations. He enables clients to achieve sustainable efficiency gains and operational resilience along the entire value chain - from the shopfloor to corporate management.
He has supported projects across the DACH region and internationally, including China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Eastern Europe, and North America.
He studied Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence for Supply Chain Demand Forecasting, also from KIT.
