"To me, 'Be the Original You' means having the self-awareness and courage to lead with what is genuinely yours."
Why Roland Berger?
Roland Berger’s European roots are one of the reasons the firm particularly appeals to me. They are reflected in a strong culture of rigor, discipline, and quality, with a clear emphasis on structured thinking and high standards in deliverables. At the same time, the firm maintains an entrepreneurial environment where consultants are encouraged to take ownership early in their careers. This includes leading workstreams, building client relationships, and contributing to the direction of a project. For me, this combination is very compelling because it brings together disciplined execution with real responsibility and trust in consultants from an early stage.
What does “Be the Original You“ mean to you?
To me, “Be the Original You” means having the self-awareness and courage to lead with what is genuinely yours. It means not reducing yourself to what is expected, what is safe, or what seems most accepted in the room. Each person carries a different combination of experiences, values, strengths, and ways of seeing the world. The more a person understands that and learns to use it with honesty, the more valuable their contribution becomes.
How do you contribute uniquely to your team's success?
I contribute to my team’s success by bringing strong regional understanding, cultural nuance, and contextual insight that help ground our work in the realities of the markets we operate in. Having a good sense of how local institutions operate, how decisions are made, and even the small contextual details about the region often helps the team interpret information more accurately.
What has been your favorite project so far and why?
The reality is that when you work very intensively together, what drives you stops being just the problem you are solving and starts being the people solving it with you. You stop being just colleagues and become people who genuinely understand how each other think, react under pressure, and push through difficult moments. That shared experience creates a bond that is hard to explain but very real, and it is probably the reason why even the toughest projects end up being the most memorable.
What’s the most unexpected place your work at Roland Berger has taken you?
While I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects outside my home office, what surprised me most was how global the experience has been without physically relocating. From my home office, I’ve collaborated closely with teams across Southeast Asia and the Americas, contributing to projects in different markets and contexts. It showed me that the “place” my work has taken me is not just physical, but also the exposure to diverse perspectives and international collaboration.
What’s the most memorable team event or social activity you’ve attended at Roland Berger?
The most memorable moments were probably my first two weeks at the firm. The first week was onboarding, which involved a lot of getting to know everyone and socializing, and the second week was the office offsite.
