"'Be the Original You' means having the freedom to be authentic at work, without the need to put on a mask, enabling me to feel comfortable, confident, and fully engaged in what I do."
Why Roland Berger?
I knew early on during my studies that I wanted to start my professional career in consulting. When I came across the European Female Talent Program at Roland Berger - almost by coincidence - it immediately felt like the perfect first step for me. I was particularly excited about the opportunity for an early office exchange, the strong connections among participants, and the steep learning curve the program offers, which is why I decided to apply.
Roland Berger continues to be the perfect fit for me thanks to its organizational structure, which allows me to focus on sustainability and energy, as well as the opportunities offered beyond project work – such as the B&me programs (e.g. Social Fellowship or Sabbatical) and the extensive training offerings. Above all, it is the people who make me stay: the colleagues and teams I have the privilege to work with every day.
What does “Be the Original You” mean to you?
“Be the Original You” means having the freedom to be authentic at work, without the need to put on a mask, enabling me to feel comfortable, confident, and fully engaged in what I do.
How do you contribute uniquely to your team’s success?
I stay calm, positive, and resilient under pressure, helping my colleagues focus on priorities, tackle unexpected challenges efficiently, and keep the team productive and motivated even during stressful situations.
What are you most enthusiastic about in your role?
I’m motivated by the opportunity to make the world more sustainable – not just by living responsibly myself but by helping clients develop and bring sustainable technologies to market, where they can make a real impact on a larger scale.
If you could instantly master any new skill, what would it be and why?
I would choose the ability to speak every language, as it would enable deeper cultural understanding, stronger relationships, and more effective collaboration across international teams and clients. Communicating in someone’s native language builds trust and can improve negotiations while creating meaningful connection. It also makes global business interactions more natural and impactful. Besides, I think it would be a very cool party trick.
What has been your favorite project so far and why?
My first project in Amsterdam for a scale-up, where we developed a location recommendation for a direct air capture (DAC) plant, was definitely my favorite one so far. I enjoyed it because the client was highly engaged, asked thoughtful follow-up questions, and showed genuine enthusiasm for our results. The team culture was very inclusive and appreciative, which made the collaboration very rewarding. Spending time working on the project in Amsterdam was an added highlight that made the experience even more special.
What have you experienced at Roland Berger that university never prepared you for?
Walking around a construction site (in significantly oversized safety equipment) explaining technical concepts to construction engineers.
