Martin Twesten
Martin Twesten is a Senior Partner at Roland Berger’s Hamburg office, specializing in People & Organization topics and AI-First Transformations. With nearly two decades of experience in organizational design and transformation, he has led large-scale operating model and enterprise efficiency programs across complex organizations. His work focuses on operating model design, SG&A optimization, functional excellence, and end-to-end performance improvement - supported by data-driven and digitally enabled approaches.
A core focus of Martin’s recent work is advancing operating models in the context of digitalization and agentic AI. He supports organizations in reimagining support functions and end-to-end processes, and in fundamentally redefining the overall operating model - spanning governance, roles, decision rights, capabilities, and organizational structures - to capture the full potential of AI-enabled ways of working. Prior to joining Roland Berger, Martin spent 15+ years at a leading global management consulting firm, advising CEOs and executive teams on enterprise-wide transformations. In addition, he has contributed to thought leadership by developing intellectual property, benchmarking insights, and transformation frameworks. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Hamburg‑Harburg.
I am passionate about AI-First transformations that move organizations beyond legacy limitations; I believe fundamentally reinventing operating models and ways of working creates decisive competitive advantage.
