Christopher Schmitt is a Partner at Roland Berger with a focus on sustainable infrastructure for energy and transport.

His core expertise is in large-scale decarbonization infrastructure projects and in decarbonization technologies, in particular renewable electricity, low-carbon hydrogen and its derivatives. Christopher's track-record spans a wide range of projects along the full value chain, covering investment strategies, financing concepts, feasibility assessments, market entry and transformation, as well as hands-on project development and implementation support. His key clients include energy companies, infrastructure developers and operators, green technology OEMs, as well as government entities and financial investors.

Christopher has an interdisciplinary background. He holds a Master's degree in public policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and a Bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Mannheim. Throughout his career, he also acquired broad practical experience outside of consulting, working in a strategy role for a globally leading transport and logistics player, and as policy advisor for a German federal ministry.

" Tackling the climate challenge requires a full transformation of our key infrastructures. I support clients to successfully shape this transition and turn it into tangible business value. "
