Dr. Stephan Hartmann is a Senior Partner at Roland Berger in our Office in Zurich and has been part of our Restructuring, Performance & Transformation (RPT) platform since 2020. With more than 20 years of professional experience in both industry and consulting, he is a trusted advisor to CEOs and CFOs navigating transformational inflection points. His expertise covers the full spectrum of corporate performance improvement and full potential analysis, from driving top-line growth through innovation, commercial excellence, and new business models, to delivering bottom-line efficiency via cost reduction, digitization, and operating model redesign.
He advises on all critical topics of the CFO agenda, including post-merger integration, carve-out programs, large-scale finance transformations, and the design of shared services and global business services (GBS). Prior to joining Stephan Hartmann was Co-Head of the Finance & Performance practice at a leading global consulting firm.
He has worked extensively with clients in the industrials, high-tech, and pharmaceutical sectors, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution to unlock sustainable value creation and long-term competitiveness.
Dr. Stephan Hartmann holds a PhD from the University of Zurich, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Chicago, and an MSc in Management from the University of Mannheim.
