Ansgar Kernder

Ansgar Kernder is a Principal of our Industrials platform. As member of our Capital Goods Client Team, he is an industry expert in capital goods, particularly in building technology with a focus on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as in energy generation and transmission systems. He has extensive experience in developing corporate strategies as well as their consistent breakdown and implementation across the entire value chain. In this role, he was responsible for comprehensive transformation programs as well as numerous M&A projects.

Before joining Roland Berger, Ansgar Kernder worked for over nine years in leading strategy and M&A roles at internationally leading (family) companies in the sectors HVAC and electrical connection technology. Prior to that, he worked for about six years at another global consulting firm.

Ansgar Kernder earned both a master’s degree and a PhD in business economics from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.
