Robert Thomson is a leading expert in the aerospace & defence and aviation sectors. His clients include many of the world's leading companies in Europe, the Americas and Asia, where he advises on strategy, M&A, programme management, and operational performance improvement. Robert's recent focus has been on sustainability and he is one of the key contributing authors to Roland Berger's Roadmap to True Zero; he has also written publications on related topics including electrical propulsion, hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels.
Robert is also an expert on strategic war gaming (dynamic solutions of real business situations) and has applied this approach to the aerospace & defence, chemicals, engineered products, financial services, telecoms, transport and utilities sectors.
Robert Thomson joined Roland Berger's London office in 2000. He has previously worked at Rolls-Royce and as an Investment Manager, in which capacity he was one of the founders of Objective Asset Management, a specialist investment company. He earned a first-class degree with distinction from the University of Cambridge in 1988 and holds an MBA with distinction from the London Business School.
